    Eisenhower National Historic Site

    Located on 189-acres, this was the retirement home of Dwight D. Eisenhower. The house served to host world leaders and was a presidential retreat. Eisenhower purchased the home in 1950. Situated across from the home on 690-acres is the Gettysburg Battlefield.

    Gettysburg National Cemetery

    Situated in the Gettysburg National Military Park, the cemetery is intended to properly bury the Union soldiers who died in Gettysburg. The cemetery has been built on the battleground. The establishment was funded by government funds and completed in 1872. The National Park Service took control of the cemetery in 1933.

    War Photography Center

    The purpose of the center is to help preserve the original Civil War Photography. Methods are also preserved; this includes ambrotypes, ferrotypes and stereographs. The center was founded in 1999. The owners of the center have also published a wide range of books.

    National Military Park Gettysburg

    During the Civil War the Battle of Gettysburg was a major turning point for the entire nation. Today, the National Park Service has preserved the park. Located in the park are over 13,000 monuments, marker and statues. The battle was fought July 1 - July 3, 1863.
